Photoshoot at the White Haven Dam!
It’s always a blast to get out and use my camera. We had an awesome time hiking around the White Haven Dam to find the right spot for some senior photos. Just take a look!
So I just had an awesome shoot last week at Pennsylvania’s historic Concrete City! Here’s one of my favorite photos from the shoot, but if you want to see more from this session just click on the link below!
It’s Senior Season again!!!
Senior sessions are always a ton of fun to be a part of. As this is an incredibly exciting time for seniors and their families, these shoots are usually something to look forward to! Even when camera shy, it can still turn out to be a really fun day. If you’ve seen the other senior session post from last year you know these aren’t your average “take a seat, turn your head this way-oh wait- no turn it the other way- no- turn it more, okay smile(proceeds to grimace) CHEESE!” and done.
This part of a senior’s life should be remembered and cherished. These photos are an investment in preserving who they are and what they stand for, so years down the road you can see how much you grew and learned and changed. It is hard to get that much emotion out of a grimace. I am always so thrilled to get the opportunity to get to know these amazing young men and women and their families with stories from their past and the dreams for their future.
However, that’s just what goes on behind the camera.
Here I introduce you to Nick. He loves music and his awesome VW Van. He and his family ventured from the busy city to a more rural location and if you asked would probably say that it was quite the adjustment. I must say, I started the session with a terrible sun burn as I forgot sunscreen all day, but seeing Nick and his mother laughing and getting to capture this time of his life really made my day worth it, and when his father fearlessly drove into the park so we could get some shots of the van without the crowded parking lot in the background, that was great too. I didn’t know people did that until I actually looked around and saw some other cars parked next to pavilions! They may have had pavilions, but we had our little party, and I’ll bet they wished they could have had some awesome senior shots though.
Today’s post will have your mouth watering with the delicious creations of a local Mountain Top restaurant by the name Leaf and Ladle! I had an amazing time photographing some of their scrumptious new menu options for the new year! The photos were taken on-location in their wonderful internet cafe feeling eating area. I highly suggest stopping by if you are in the area. They bring a fresh new breath of excitment in the area with their one of a kind open mic nights and relaxed atmosphere.(Plus, who doesn’t love free wifi???)
With the snowy season upon us I thought it would be fun to give an update on some of my new available prints for purchase! You can get these in any size you wish just contact me for the price with your address and I’ll get it sent out to you!
Fine Art Photography is a true passion of mine, and I am hoping you will join in my love for it. I always had a different outlook on life, and picking up a camera has been the best way for me to help others see the beauty in the world like I do. I couldn’t tell you if these plants were actually flowers or weeds, but I can tell you that they are all absolutely beautiful life to me.
The gallery for these prints is located here.
Just the other day I got to spend with the wonderful Nick and Jenny! We had a blast at their mini shoot and got to try some awesome poses and such! Jenny has modeled for me before, but Nick was new to the game. That didn’t stop him though! He jumped right in and had fun with it too!
It was really funny because we had such a fun happy backdrop, but Jenny kept insisting that Nick gave “the smolder.” To which he responded, “What is a smolder?” This would break us all down into giggles including my wonderful assistant who was a great help with the shoot. The sun was bright and cheery which let in beautiful light for the photos.
The photos from this shoot are much cooler in color than my normal portraits, but I really think it complements their glowing complections! Tell me what you think in the comments below, on my Facebook page, or Tweet me @CpopPhotography.
I had an absolutely fantastic day with William last Friday. We met up at a local park and jumped right into some really fun photography! He brought his saxophone and played some music for a few of these photos to make them interesting and personal! He was really great with posing. By the end of his shoot, I would just say, “Coul…” and he would move precisely how I was going to ask. His posing was on par with a professional model, and he was so calm with it that it would be hard to think that this was his first time with his own photo shoot.
We also got to see some of the goodness in people when a random person walked up to ask if we knew about a lovely garden area close to where we were shooting. After thanking her, we went over to see and were able to get some more photos with a different backdrop.
Here are some of the photos from his shoot!
(Also, we agreed to split the shoot into two for my portfolio building, so you can expect to see more of William in my next post!)
I had a wonderful time volunteering as a photographer at Horror Hall in Nanticoke this past Saturday for the Kris Williams event they had. I met some of the wonderful actors and many interesting people excited to enter the haunted house! This was all early in the season, but I must say that Halloween is my favorite holiday! So, you can expect some fun photos coming up in the next month!
Sadly, I’m not able to post the photos from Horror Hall, but I am able to share some photos I took the other day while trying a fun experiment. The experiment was creating crystals that appeared to be frost by mixing soap and Epsom salt in boiling water. You then let the mixture cool and paint it on a window. As it cools it leaves a frosty look to the window. It was a blast to try and photograph!
I apologize for the delay in updates, however I do have some exciting news! I’ve been taking the past few weeks and getting really involved with product photography! Not only that, but, I also got some business cards in the mail the other day!
Since I’m still in Portfolio building my prices are currently at a 40% discounted rate, but as I continue to shoot, the discount will slowly rise to my actual prices, so get your session set up while the discount is still in place! Here are the product photos I did for Cobblestone Tinkers Etsy page! (Link here!)
